Since it sounds like the Miami Heat will not be able to acquire Damian Lillard from the Portland Trail Blazers, everyone is wondering which team will land the seven-time All-Star.
Apparently, another Eastern Conference team has the best chance of doing so.
According to BetOnline.ag, via NBACentral, the Boston Celtics are the favorites to land Lillard if he doesn’t move to the Heat.
If it happened, this deal would radically shake up the Eastern Conference.

There is no indication of how likely a move from Portland to Boston is for Lillard but if it happens, the entire landscape of the East will change.
Lillard would certainly give the Celtics an even better chance of reaching the NBA Finals again.
They would immediately become bigger favorites to go all the way in 2023-24.
Of course, acquiring Lillard would require that they give some stuff up too.
The Blazers aren’t going to part ways with him for nothing.
So which athletes on the Celtics’ roster would be packing their bags?
At this point, NBA fans are really in the dark about the Lillard situation.
For weeks, we heard that nothing was happening between the Blazers and the Heat.
Then a lot of rumors started swirling last week about several Eastern Conference teams picking up the phone and trying to make something happen.
Some reports have said that the Heat are still in the hunt for Lillard while others say they haven’t spoken with the Blazers in weeks.
In short, only a few select people know what’s really going on with Lillard.
But since training camp is right around the corner and the season is less than a month away, everyone will be learning a lot more soon.
