Philadelphia Eagles general manager Howie Roseman is playing chess while his contemporaries are playing checkers.
As a result, the Eagles reached the playoffs in four of the last five seasons and won Super Bowl LII.
But his genius was manifested during the 2022 offseason through his solid acquisitions.
Those players have helped the Eagles remain undefeated through six games.

NFL insider Kendall Beck shared how Roseman’s acquisitions are doing so far.
The Eagles traded their 2022 18th overall pick and a third-rounder to acquire wide receiver A.J. Brown from the Tennessee Titans.
He leads the team with 503 yards and two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, the New Orleans Saints traded safety C.J. Gardner-Johnson to Philadelphia in exchange for fifth and sixth-rounders in the 2024 NFL Draft.
He has three interceptions and four pass deflections for the Eagles.
On the other hand, Haason Reddick signed a three-year deal with Philadelphia and has 4.5 sacks to go with three forced fumbles.
Finally, James Bradberry joined the Eagles on a one-year deal and has two interceptions with nine pass deflections.
The efforts of Gardner-Johnson, Reddick, and Bradberry have helped the Eagles become the fourth-best team in terms of total yards allowed (297.8) and sixth in points allowed at 17.5 per game.
Meanwhile, Brown has helped the Eagles to become the third-best team in total yards, averaging 394.5 per game.
They are also fourth in points per game at 26.8.
More Opportunities To Build The Roster
Aside from the players they’ve added, the Eagles are in a good position to add top talent via next year’s draft.
They own the Saints’ first-round draft pick, which is currently sixth overall.
That’s a good spot for Roseman to acquire another starter who can help prolong their dominance.
