The Philadelphia Eagles are looking for a signature win Thursday night over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
If they fail in that quest, they drop to 2-4 on the season.
Sometimes a slow start gets fans thinking about the NFL Draft and what prospects could be taken by their respective team.
In the case of the Eagles, there are several teams to keep an eye on.
Thanks to some front-office maneuvering, the Eagles have three potential first-round picks in 2022.
In addition to their own, another comes via the Indianapolis Colts from the Carson Wentz trade.
The third comes from the Miami Dolphins following a draft-day trade this year.
So if the season ended today, the Eagles would have some insanely good draft capital.

Three picks in the top-10 is fantastic and even if the Eagles make a run of their own, they will be rooting for the Dolphins and Colts to fail.
One Catch From The Colts
There is a catch to the pick from the Colts and it has to do with the health issues of Wentz.
For the pick to stay intact, Wentz must play in 75 percent of the team’s snaps in 2021.
If he does not, it becomes a second-round pick that heads to the Eagles.
He has played in 99 percent of the snaps so far, which is something the Eagles front office certainly has an eye on.
If he can stay healthy there is really no need to bench Wentz, even if the season goes south.
The Colts want to build some continuity with him under center and the only way he does get benched is if the team goes on a huge losing streak and he makes it clear his ailments are not clearing up.’
The fact the Colts are in the weak AFC South points toward him playing and competing most of the year.
Plenty Of Games To Be Played
It is obviously way too early to assume the Eagles will have three top-10 picks.

Fans don’t even want that because it means the team had a bad year.
But two top picks thanks to bad seasons by the Colts and Dolphins?
Eagles fans can live with that and if the Colts pick does turn into a great selection, fans will have one final thing to thank Wentz for after his polarizing run in Philadelphia.
