The Philadelphia Eagles front office has had an impressive 2022 offseason.
They may not have been the loudest when free agency started, but they brought in outside linebacker Haason Reddick who can help improve their pass rush.
Meanwhile, they also re-signed defensive end Derek Barnett to a three-year, $15.2 million deal.
However, the Eagles made a splash during the NFL Draft by selecting defensive tackle Jordan Davis.
They might have also taken the steal of the draft in linebacker Nakobe Dean.
Philadelphia had five total picks in 2022, three of which are defensive players.
But getting wide receiver A.J. Brown in exchange for their 18th and 101st picks should give their offense a boost.
Brown, DeVonta Smith, and Quez Watkins are a potent trio quarterback Jalen Hurts will work with.
More importantly, as James Nagle pointed out, they’ve turned Carson Wentz and a 2021 first-rounder into two receivers and two picks.
An interesting way to look at the #Eagles’ trades over the last 2 years.

How Did That Happen?
While Wentz’s last season with the Eagles was a disappointment, the team should thank him for their impending success.
The Eagles received a 2021 third-rounder and a 2022 first-rounder after trading Wentz to the Indianapolis Colts.
Meanwhile, they traded their 2021 first and fifth-rounders for the Miami Dolphins’ first and fourth-rounders.
But the Eagles dealt the 2021 first-rounder they received from the Dolphins for the Dallas Cowboys’ 10th overall pick.
That’s the pick Philadelphia used to draft Smith, while Dallas drafted Micah Parsons.
Likewise, the additional 2022 first-rounder gave Philadelphia three picks.
However, they dealt their 16th, 19th, and 194th overall picks to the New Orleans Saints.
In return, the Eagles received the Saints’ 2022 first, third, and seventh-round picks, a 2023 first-rounder, and a 2024 second-rounder.
Finally, Philadelphia traded their 18th and 101st picks in the 2022 draft to the Tennessee Titans for Brown.
