LeBron James of the Los Angeles Lakers is about to start his 21st season in the NBA.
Despite that and the fact that he is 38 years old, he is still putting up sensational numbers.
James’ old teammate and close friend Dwyane Wade spoke about why that is possible and said it’s about more than being physically strong.
Speaking on “Club Shay Shay,” Wade said it’s related to James’ physicality but also his mentality.
“One of his legs are the two of mine put together. He ain’t built like a normal person, okay? God gave him that blessing,” Wade started.
He then added: “LeBron has mentally been able to tell himself he’s not tired.”

Wade said that James will just mentally push himself through any sort of injury.
He claims there were times when people told James that he had hurt his ankle and James would simply deny it and claim he wasn’t hurt.
He would convince himself that he wasn’t injured and would keep playing.
James’ mind is still incredibly strong, according to Wade, and that is how he is able to average nearly 30 points a game at his age.
Wade stated that a player’s mentality is the most important part of longevity in the NBA.
He admitted that he was mentally tapped out toward the end of his career.
He could have kept putting up points off the bench for a team, he said, but his mind was no longer in the place it once was.
But that isn’t the case with James, according to Wade.
Wade said that as long as James’ mind stays sharp, he can keep playing.
So how many more years will the NBA get to witness James?
