Dwight Howard may not have many fans left in the NBA, but he’s still a future Hall of Famer.
Howard has often been overlooked by the media, the fans, and even some of his colleagues, but his résumé speaks for itself.
He didn’t want to give up on his playing days and took his talents to Taiwan after not getting any interest in the league this season.
And while that could’ve led to some mockery on social media, he claims it’s actually been a very positive experience for him.
In a sit-down with Shams Charania of The Athletic, Howard said that he’s been able to spread some passion and love for the game and how grateful he was for getting that opportunity.

Of course, the Taiwanese league isn’t anywhere near the NBA in terms of competition, and even a veteran like Howard can dominate night in and night out.
But they’re still giving him the opportunity to stay in shape and play competitive and professional basketball for a living, and there’s absolutely nothing wrong with choosing that path.
Howard’s best years are obviously far behind him, and his last couple of stints in the league weren’t all that positive.
Even so, he should be widely considered one of the greatest interior defenders in the history of this game, as well as one of the best rebounders ever.
