Houston Astros manager Dusty Baker has been around baseball long enough to have managed some of the best players in the history of the game.
He’s managed several great teams and finally has a World Series title under his belt.
With players such as Jose Altuve, Sammy Sosa, Carlos Correa, and Barry Bonds having played under him, he understands which players are truly Hall of Fame material.
With the results of Hall of Fame voting set to be revealed tomorrow, there is one player that Baker hopes gets some more recognition.
When asked about Jeff Kent, who played under him while managing the San Francisco Giants, Baker made it clear that he believes Kent should be in the Hall of Fame.
“This cat should be in the Hall of Fame,” Dusty Baker said of Jeff Kent.

Kent played the majority of his career with the Giants.
He made his MLB debut in 1992 with the Toronto Blue Jays and was later flipped to the New York Mets.
Kent was around for the Giants’ run to the World Series in 2002, and played under Baker during that time.
The 54-year-old owns a career average of .290, a total of 377 home runs, an on-base percentage of .356, a slugging percentage of .500, and a WAR of 55.4.
Those are certainly numbers that are worthy of the Hall of Fame, or at least some consideration.
But Baker knows a Hall-of-Famer when he sees one.
To him, Kent belongs in Cooperstown.
Unfortunately, Kent may not get there, but regardless of what happens, Baker stands behind his former second baseman and hopes to see him enshrined in Cooperstown.
