The Houston Astros are on the verge of their second World Series title since 2017 after winning Game 5 over the Philadelphia Phillies at Citizens Bank Park.
Dusty Baker has tapped left-hander Framber Valdez to start Game 6 and give them a chance to close out the Phillies.
But there has been one issue plaguing the Astros this postseason despite them being on the verge of clinching yet another title.
The designated hitter position has been an issue for Houston, with all players they have used in that spot hitting a measly .130 without a home run.
Baker said he hasn’t decided who he’ll use in that spot for Game 6.
“No one has really stood up,” said Baker. “It would be different if we had Bryce Harper.”
Dusty Baker says he doesn’t know who will start at DH in Game 6 with their woeful DH struggles. ‘No one has really stood up. It would be different if we had Bryce Harper.’’

Astros Are Having DH Issues
Indeed, it would be much different if the Astros had Harper in their lineup.
The Astros have tried both David Hensley and Trey Mancini in the DH spot.
Neither one of them have proven to be the answer.
However, all they need to do now is win one game.
Still, it would be beneficial for them to get some production out of the DH spot, something that has been hard to come by this postseason.
This could prove to be a problem for the Astros in Game 6, even ahead 3-2.
With Zack Wheeler, a right-hander on the mound for the Phillies, Baker may need to use Yordan Alvarez, a left-handed bat in that spot just to get a little production from his designated hitters.
