There have been rumors of a Seattle Seahawks fire sale after Russell Wilson was traded to the Denver Broncos and Bobby Wagner got released.
Without him, it’s hard to see them competing in their division alone, wherein they must face the Arizona Cardinals, San Francisco 49ers, and defending Super Bowl champions Los Angeles Rams.
With Wilson gone, the Seahawks still have some interesting pieces in wide receivers Tyler Lockett and DK Metcalf.
The former Ole Miss standout has been linked to the Kansas City Chiefs but denied the trade talks.
That said, new Seahawks quarterback Drew Lock seconded Metcalf’s reaction by saying “Yeah DK… it’s real cold!!”

Lock tweeted that line in response to Metcalf’s comment to a Twitter post by Everything.Chiefs which said, “@dkm14 the door is open in kc!”
To which Metcalf quipped, “Better close it, heard it get cold at night!”
Lock had the right to verify his teammate’s claim because he played college football at the University of Missouri.
The school’s campus was in Columbia which is roughly a two-hour drive from Kansas City.
Therefore, Lock would know that it does get cold in “The Heart of America.”
Lock Was Hot For The Tigers
Lock started for his hometown team during the last eight games of their 2015 season.
He would not relinquish the position until he graduated in 2018.
His junior year was easily his best, finishing with 3,964 yards and a FBS-leading 44 touchdowns.
Those numbers made him First-Team All-SEC in 2017.
In his final year with the Tigers, Lock had 28 passing and six rushing touchdowns.
The Broncos drafted him in the second round of the 2019 NFL Draft.
After a shaky tenure in Denver, he hopes to do better with Metcalf and the Seahawks.
