Either the Seattle Seahawks know something that most football fans don’t or they will end up as a laughing stock in the upcoming 2022 season.
It’s difficult to see how they can compete in the NFC West alone against the Los Angeles Rams, Arizona Cardinals, and San Francisco 49ers.
Indeed, the tables have turned as the Seahawks went from multiple division titles to the bottom of the pile.
That’s why the US Open’s official Twitter account was able to roast one of their loyal fans.
When the fan said that tennis was “not a sport,” the handler of that account clapped back with “not a sport says the person about to watch 17 games of Drew Lock at QB.”
Instead of feeling bad about the exchange, Lock joined in the fun.

In response to that post, Lock said, “Happy 4th to all but especially to the intern at the @usopen.”
His tweet has all the elements of a good reply because he mentioned the holiday and had a witty take on who made that viral comment.
Lock Has A Lot To Prove
While that Twitter exchange will induce laughter, the one making tweets for US Open does have a point.
Lock had superb talent around him during his time with the Broncos but never led them to the playoffs.
If he’s any good, he could have led the likes of Javonte Williams, Courtland Sutton, and Jerry Jeudy to the postseason.
Therefore, it isn’t reassuring that the Seahawks will do well with him under center.
But in a new atmosphere, Lock has the chance to compete for the starting role with Geno Smith and Jacob Eason.
If he does get the job, he will have a chance to silence his critics.
