Before Wednesday’s Game 5 between the Memphis Grizzlies and Golden State Warriors, Stephen Curry said his team’s plan was to “whoop that trick” and put the Grizzlies away.
In the end, the only trick that was whooped was his as the Warriors were taken down 134-95 by the Grizzlies in a huge blowout loss.
Despite the major meltdown for Golden State, some members of the team were still having a good time.
Draymond Green, for example, was seen dancing courtside and firing up the crowd that was crying for his loss.
Draymond Green: "They not gonna Whoop That Trick alone. We’re gonna Whoop That Trick together. One thing I don’t respect is people who only engage the crowd when they’re winning. I call those people frontrunners. I appreciated the crowd tonight.”

Following the game, Green gave some insight into why he was so animated for the hostile crowd.
“They not gonna whoop that trick alone,” Green said.
He continued: “We’re gonna whoop that trick together. One thing I don’t respect is people who only engage the crowd when they’re winning. I call those people frontrunners. I appreciated the crowd tonight.”
Whatever the reason, Green sure seemed to enjoy his time in Memphis on Wednesday.
But he has a chance of enjoying Game 6 even more.
Whooping That Trick At Home
No one should forget that the Warriors still have a 3-2 advantage over the Grizzlies right now.
They are only one win away from making the Western Conference Finals and sending the Grizzlies home for the season.
Plus, they are headed back home to their court in California.
It wouldn’t be shocking to see the Warriors pull out the win and claim the series in Game 6.
Therefore, Green has every reason to be excited and enthusiastic – his team still has the best chance of winning the series.
However, Memphis certainly feels more capable now that they pulled off such a massive victory.
Maybe it’ll be them dancing at the end of Game 6.
