Draymond Green Throws Intense Shade At The Lakers

The whole NBA world is talking about Kyrie Irving playing with LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers – but Draymond Green of the Golden State Warriors isn’t scared.

Like nearly everyone else, Green has been thinking about and discussing the concept of Irving moving across the country to join the troubled Lakers squad.

But unlike everyone else, Green doesn’t think they’d make much an impact on the league – or at least on his championship team.

Asked about the possible roster featuring Irving, Green’s response was simple: “They won’t beat us.”

That response is vintage Green – but is it also accurate?

Would this new-look Lakers have a chance at bringing down Green, Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, and the rest of the reigning champs?

Stay Golden

No matter who you root for in the NBA, it’s hard to deny that the Warriors are the most intimidating and challenging team in the league.

Their latest Finals ring only proves that.

There is no doubt the Lakers would be better with Irving on their side but adding the outspoken, controversial player doesn’t guarantee they could take down Green and the other tops dogs at Golden State.

It takes a while for a team to gel and play together like a cohesive unit, so Irving’s addition could create some bumps in the road.

Plus, Irving is known for missing games – due to injuries and his personal life – so it’s not promised that he’d play most of the season.

Additionally, the most important fact is this: the Warriors are just very hard to beat.

Even with two of the best players in the world, taking down Golden State would be a tough task for the Lakers – or any team.

Just ask the Boston Celtics.
