The Golden State Warriors had a huge, much-needed home win over the Phoenix Suns.
However, no one seems to be talking about the final score or even how the guys performed.
Instead, all the attention is centered on Stephen Curry’s trash-talking Chris Paul, and rightfully so.
Curry hit Paul with a couple of moves and then forced Deandre Ayton to foul him for a beautiful and-one, and then he hit CP3 with a, “This ain’t 2014 no more.”
Notably, his teammate Draymond Green didn’t hesitate to provide some context for this bar, praising Curry for that epic moment.
Per Green, Steph was letting CP3 know that 2014 was the last time he was actually better than him, pretty much stating that the debate has been over for almost a decade now.

Notably, Paul and the Los Angeles Clippers beat the Warriors in the first round of the playoffs in 2014, so the date might be quite accurate.
Paul is considered one of the greatest point guards ever, but Steph has entered the greatest player conversation, so there are levels to everything.
Of course, Paul is a couple of years older than Steph, and Father Time is ruthless, but Curry was right about that.
He’s been the better player for the better part of the last decade, and he’s got the best out of him in nearly every single time they’ve faced each other.
Curry isn’t most of a trash-talker, so there could be something more to this story that we know about.
But for now, we have to give Steph the edge in this rivalry.
