Jadeveon Clowney’s NFL career has been somewhat of a whirlwind.
After being the No. 1 overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft, Clowney has since bounced around to the Seattle Seahawks, Tennessee Titans, and Cleveland Browns.
He was released by the Browns after the 2023 season largely due to disputes with Myles Garrett.
Recently, Clowney visited the Jacksonville Jaguars in hopes of signing with a new team.
According to James Palmer, Doug Pederson indicated that the meeting went well, but Clowney wasn’t signed to a deal.

The Jaguars surprised many around the league last year by winning the division.
This was just one year removed from the Urban Meyer experiment, where they finished with a 3-14 record.
Their improvements were largely due to Trevor Lawrence’s uptick in production.
The Jaguars have made many changes throughout the offseason to help the offense grow.
If Clowney does join their defense, he’ll provide an instant impact on a unit that is in desperate need of veteran help.
The AFC South could be dominated by the Jaguars again this season, especially if Clowney is signed.
The Houston Texans, Indianapolis Colts, and Tennessee Titans could all begin the year with new quarterbacks.
If this is the case, all three teams could struggle early, leading to the Jaguars taking an early season advantage.
Clowney’s contract has to make sense for this team, who are ramping up to pay some of their biggest stars, including Lawrence.
With the regular season around the corner, the Jaguars won’t want to wait long to make a decision.
