Brian Windhorst ended up being the NBA‘s MVP during this offseason.
The basketball insider has always been a great reporter and has gotten some of the best scoops in the league but he took things to a new level this summer.
Windhorst appeared on ESPN often to talk about all the trades and deals flying around the league and introduced a lot of speculation into the conversation.
One moment featuring Windhorst immediately became a meme that swept the internet by storm.

When speaking about the Utah Jazz and their future plans, Windhorst struck a defiant, inquisitive pose with two fingers pointed straight in the air.
That image was instantly a popular one with NBA fans on Twitter.
And now it’s become even more legendary as Windhorst revived it alongside former Jazz star and Cleveland Cavalier newcomer Donovan Mitchell.
Windhorst and Mitchell striking this pose together is a perfect way to bring the wild and crazy NBA offseason to an end.
Utah’s Summer
Windhorst’s meme was born as he spoke about the Jazz and all the behind-the-scenes developments.
This was right after the team had traded away Rudy Gobert to the Minnesota Timberwolves and following the resignation of head coach Quin Snyder.
Millions expected Mitchell to be the next one on the trading block and Windhorst was digging into that possibility right from the start.
In the end, Mitchell was indeed traded away.
He didn’t end up with the New York Knicks like many had expected and is instead calling Cleveland his home now.
All of the rumors and inside information were covered by Windhorst, who became an even more vital reporter this summer.
