There has been a lot of talk about Donovan Mitchell‘s future with the Utah Jazz over the last few days.

After stating that it would never happen, the Jazz are apparently open to the idea of trading away Mitchell for the right deal.

That means his days in Salt Lake City may be coming to an end.

He immediately became one of the biggest targets for other teams and it has led a lot of people to talk about his worth.

Everyone asking me to weigh in on Donovan Mitchell trade rumors – all I can say is he’s all about winning and improving. Tremendous work ethic and is a 10 star person on a 5 star scale. @spidadmitchell

Rick Pitino, the man who coached Mitchell during his time playing for Louisville, offered up his two cents on Mitchell:

“Everyone asking me to weigh in on Donovan Mitchell trade rumors – all I can say is he’s all about winning and improving. Tremendous work ethic and is a 10 star person on a 5 star scale.”

That’s high praise from someone who knows best.

So, where will his work ethic end up?

Mitchell Moving On

With a career average of 23.9 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 4.5 assists, Mitchell would be an immediate asset for nearly any team in the league.

He is really the sort of player who can lead a squad.

Right after news of him being on the market leaked, the New York Knicks apparently started to throw together a deal to nab him.

We don’t know the specifics of that deal but it would definitely need some serious star power.

The Jazz know that Mitchell is someone special and they aren’t willing to commit to a deal unless it’s very healthy for them.

If Mitchell does move on from Utah, it’ll mark the beginning of a new chapter for the team.

As for Mitchell, he might find the sort of success he has longed for on another squad.
