The Cleveland Cavaliers faced the Philadelphia 76ers in a preseason game on Wednesday night and it is safe to say that a lot of people were paying attention.
This increase in viewership and interest wasn’t just because basketball fans are eager for the new season to start.
No, they wanted to get their first look at Donovan Mitchell as a member of the Cavs.

Mitchell came out swinging during his inaugural session playing in a Cavaliers uniform.
He put up 16 points and 5 assists while shooting 75% from the three-point line during his 19 minutes against the 76ers.
Fans were ecstatic to see Mitchell’s hard work on the court after months of expectation and excitement.
A new chapter for the Cleveland Cavaliers has begun – and Mitchell’s era has officially arrived.
Mitchell Making Fans Happy
The last time the Cavaliers made the playoffs without LeBron James was the 1997-98 season.
However, that will likely change in 2022-23, partly thanks to Mitchell’s addition to the team.
The Cavaliers were already on the rise and were showing tons of promise with players like Darius Garland, Jarrett Allen, Evan Mobley, and others.
But when the team secured Mitchell, their prospects shot up like a rocket ship.
Mitchell will bring perimeter shooting and expert offensive skills.
However, he also claims that he will improve his defensive abilities too and show the world that he’s a two-way player who works on both ends of the court.
Right now, fans are just hoping to see Mitchell’s patented brand of terrific shooting.
They definitely got a taste of that on Wednesday night and are now ready for a lot more and all the success it will bring.
