The Miami Dolphins have decided what they want to do with quarterback Tua Tagovailoa.
There was plenty of speculation about if the Dolphins would pick up his fifth-year option or not.
This was especially after last season where Tagovailoa suffered two concussions.
But, on Friday the Dolphins committed to Tua being their quarterback.
According to Adam Schefter, the Dolphins are picking up the fifth-year option on their quarterback.
The Dolphins picking up Tua Tagovailoa’s fifth-year option and guaranteeing his $23.4 million salary for 2024 is the ultimate sign that they don’t have any plans to sign any high-priced quarterbacks this off-season. Tua is their man.

Tagovailoa is coming off his most productive season as a pro.
He threw for 3,548 yards and 25 touchdowns with only eight interceptions.
But, the issue was that Tua only played in 13 games.
He had an issue with injuries while he was in college, and that has followed him to the NFL.
Miami is hoping that they can see what Tagovailoa can do for a full season.
There is no question the Dolphins are a playoff team with him under center.
The addition of wide receiver Tyreek Hill did wonders for the young quarterback last year.
Miami has committed to building their offense around Tua, now they just need him to stay on the field.
Head coach Mike McDaniel has said that he wants Tua to be his quarterback for the foreseeable future.
McDaniel did a great job maximizing the play of his quarterback last year, and he hopes to do that again.
One thing the Dolphins should invest more resources in is the offensive line.
Knowing how fragile Tagovailoa is, should make them concerned about how often he gets hit.
Miami should try and acquire a few more quality offensive linemen that can keep their quarterback upright.NEXT: Nick Saban Expresses His Concern About Tua Tagovailoa
