The Miami Dolphins have one preseason game left before their regular season opener against the New England Patriots on September 11.
They are set to face the Philadelphia Eagles, who share the same narrative with them this offseason.
Like the Eagles, the Dolphins also went on a massive overhaul to improve their roster.
They signed Connor Williams and Terron Armstead to improve their offensive line.
Likewise, they brought in Chase Edmonds and Raheem Mostert to their backfield.
The Dolphins also made waves at wide receiver by bringing in Cedrick Wilson and All-Pro wideout Tyreek Hill.
They also added Melvin Ingram III on defense.
Unfortunately, their preparations for the upcoming season came to a halt, as NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo shared.
The #Dolphins, who canceled their joint practice with the #Eagles today, are dealing with a stomach bug, sources say. Bunch of players sick, vomiting overnight.

He tweeted, “The #Dolphins, who canceled their joint practice with the #Eagles today, are dealing with a stomach bug, sources say. Bunch of players sick, vomiting overnight.”
The exact nature of the sickness or its source hasn’t been revealed.
But in some ways, the Dolphins are lucky that it happened during the preseason.
It would be difficult for them to compete against the Patriots without a full roster.
The players who got the stomach bug were not revealed but their number should be enough to cancel practice.
Dolphins Hoping To Make A Splash
Miami has been close to making the playoffs over the past two seasons.
Unfortunately, they came up short in both instances.
In 2020, former head coach Brian Flores led the squad to ten victories.
A year later, they finished at 9-8 despite starting the season at 1-7.
The Dolphins are banking on the momentum they’ve built to complete their 2021 campaign.
Now with a stronger roster, they are keen in breaking their five-year playoff drought.
