Amazon is one of the biggest online retailers and many people depend on it to make their everyday purchases.

Amazon has hundreds of thousands of items for customers to buy, and in addition to a great inventory, it also offers many payment options!

This leads people to wonder whether they can use some of the newer payment methods available to make purchases on Amazon.

One payment method many people want to use on Amazon is Google Pay.

Does Amazon Accept Google Pay?

google pay

No, Google Pay is not yet compatible with Amazon, so you cannot use it when buying products at Amazon.com.

If Google Pay is your only payment option and you need to buy something from Amazon, there is one way that you can still use it.

You can buy an Amazon gift card from a third-party website or store that accepts Google Pay.

You can then make your purchase with that gift card.

What Other Payment Methods Are Accepted On Amazon?

Even though Amazon does not accept Google Pay, there are many other payment methods you can use to pay for your purchases on the site.

Amazon accepts the following payment methods:

  • Visa
  • American Express
  • Discover
  • MasterCard/EuroCard
  • Prepaid credit or gift cards from Visa, MasterCard, or American Express
  • Diner’s Club (if you have a U.S. billing address)
  • JCB
  • NYCE
  • STAR
  • China UnionPay
  • Amazon Gift Card
  • Amazon Secured Card
  • Amazon Store Card

You can add a new payment method to your account by going to your Amazon Wallet.

You also can add a new payment whenever you check out and pay for an order.

Does Amazon Accept PayPal?

No, Amazon does not let you use PayPal as a payment method.

However, you can use your PayPal Cash Card to pay for purchases.

You can also use the same strategy of buying an Amazon gift card with PayPal through a third-party website or store.

You can then use that gift card to pay for your Amazon purchase.

While Amazon doesn’t let you pay directly from your PayPal account, it did used to accept PayPal Key.

PayPal Key was a service where you could use a code provided by PayPal instead of a credit card number when making online purchases.

Unfortunately, PayPal Key was discontinued on April 20, 2022.

However, if PayPal brings back a service similar to PayPal Key in the future, it would be a good payment option.

PayPal now offers debit cards, however.

They are accepted on Amazon and work almost identically to PayPal Key.

One of the reasons PayPal cited for discontinuing the PayPal Key program is that the company wanted to focus its efforts on producing debit cards.

Does Amazon Accept Venmo?

Another alternative form of payment that is becoming increasingly popular is Venmo.

You can link your Venmo account to your Amazon account.

If you are a frequent Venmo user, this is great news because you can use your Venmo balance to pay for Amazon purchases directly.

If you would like to add Venmo as a payment option on Amazon, you should take the following steps:

1. Obtain a Venmo debit card.

2. Log into your Amazon account either on the website or through their app.

3. Go to your payment options.

4. Click the button that says, “add a payment method.”

5. Follow the instructions and enter your information. When you are finished, check over the information you have entered and then click “confirm.”

You have now set up Venmo as a payment option!

What Is Better, Google Pay Or Apple Pay?

Whether Google Pay or Apple Pay is a better option for you depends on if you have an Apple device.

If you have an Apple device that is compatible with Apple Pay, it is probably better to use Apple Pay.

Apple Pay is more widely accepted, and you can use it on Amazon.

If you don’t have access to Apple Pay, you can use Google Pay.

However, you should have another payment option available in case Google Pay isn’t accepted (like through Amazon).

What Is Better, Google Pay Or Amazon Pay?

Amazon Pay might be a good option if you frequently make purchases on Amazon, especially since Google Pay is not accepted.

However, Amazon Pay is even more limited than Google Pay in the number of retailers that accept it.

Outside of use on Amazon, Google Pay would be more useful because it is more widely accepted.

Of course, there is no harm in signing up for both payment services if you want.

This will give you even more options!

What Is The Advantage Of Using Google Pay Instead Of Using A Credit Card?

google pay

You might be interested in Google Pay but not really understand what all the hype is about.

The main reason why people like to use payment services like Google Pay instead of directly inputting their credit card information is because of the increased payment security.

Instead of giving your credit card information to the retailer, Google Pay creates a unique code for each transaction that can’t be replicated.

This prevents your credit card number from getting stolen.

Also, unlike a credit card, Google Pay requires you to approve every transaction from your phone.

Most credit cards can be used without any sort of pin code or authentication, which makes it easy for thieves to spend money on a stolen card.

If your phone was stolen, the thief still wouldn’t be able to use your digital wallet because of the security features.

In addition to the security Google Pay provides, it also is more convenient.

If you live in an area where contactless payment is accepted at most stores, it is easy to leave the house with just your phone.

Having a phone that can act as a wallet can make your life seamless.
