The Los Angeles Dodgers have a chance to make some history, and not just for their franchise, but for baseball as a whole.
Everybody knows just how dominant they have been this season.
At 104-46, they own the best record in all of baseball and have already blown past everybody else in the NL West to seize the division title.
And so, there’s a lot of history in play, as mentioned on Twitter by Dodgers writer Eric Stephen.
Los Angeles need just three more wins with 12 to go in order to set a franchise record in regular season wins.
If they go 7-5 in those games, they will set a team winning percentage record.
Also, if they go at least 5-4 in their combined nine remaining games against the Colorado Rockies and San Diego Padres, they will have their best divisional record ever.

History On The Table For Dodgers
That’s a whole lot of history in play for the Dodgers.
Just because they’ve wrapped up the NL West race doesn’t mean that they’re done trying to add to their list of accomplishments in 2022.
There’s a lot on the table here.
This is a very good team that has managed to battle back from numerous injury issues, including Walker Buehler and Tony Gonsolin.
Even without those guys, they can make some very impressive history in many different facets.
The fact that they only need three wins to set their franchise record in wins is crazy.
If that happens, they could go 3-9 in their final 12 and still have a franchise record.
Barely playing above .500 will set an all-time win percentage record, and going just one game over in a nine-game stretch would give them their best divisional record of all time.
That’s pretty insane, and you can bet that they’ll do everything in their power to make as much history as they can.
