The team with the best record in all of baseball currently resides out on the West Coast.
The Los Angeles Dodgers yet again are dominating the rest of the baseball world, even with two of their best pitchers on the shelf.
But that is the least of their worries right now.
The team is red-hot and is ahead in the NL West by 18 games over the San Diego Padres.
An interesting storyline is currently developing out in Los Angeles though, as two current Dodgers are tied for the most hits in all of baseball.
Freddie Freeman and Trea Turner are each tied at the top with 149 hits.

Freeman, Turner Battle For Most Hits
This is the sign of a truly dominant ballclub.
When two guys on the same team are fighting it out for the most hits in all of baseball, that means you’ve got a wealth of talent on your roster and a team that knows how to win some ballgames, which is precisely what the Dodgers have been doing all season long.
They have buried everybody else in the NL West with their recent dominant stretch, thanks in large part to the contributions of Freeman and Turner.
It creates an interesting dynamic too.
The Dodgers are obviously winning a lot of games and Freeman and Turner have the same goal in mind, to win a World Series.
At the same time, there’s some serious competition going on between the two of them as they fight it out for the most hits in all of baseball.
It’s going to be interesting to watch down the stretch as Turner and Freeman continue to battle for the most hits, but also try and guide Los Angeles to yet another World Series title.
