The postseason will be here before we know it.
It all kicks off on Friday with the Wild Card Series matchups in both leagues.
The Los Angeles Dodgers have a bye to the NLDS and will have home-field advantage throughout the World Series should they get that far.
But when the time comes, rosters must be brought back down to 26 players.
Manager Dave Roberts made an announcement about what the team would do with outfielder and slugger Joey Gallo.
Roberts said that Gallo, who hit .161 with 19 home runs and 47 RBI, will be on the postseason roster, and that the only thing they needed to figure out with him is what role he’ll ultimately have.
#Dodgers Dave Roberts said Joey Gallo will be on the postseason roster.
Added they just have to figure out how they deploy him.

Gallo On Dodgers Playoff Roster
Obviously, it hasn’t been an easy season for Gallo, who was acquired from the New York Yankees at the trade deadline.
His stats since being traded aren’t great either.
But at the very least, the Dodgers have a veteran slugger on their postseason roster who has experienced the bright lights of October before, having been with the Yankees in the Wild Card Game last year, a game in which they lost to the Boston Red Sox.
There are plenty of decisions that have yet to be made for the Dodgers when concerning their postseason roster.
But one thing is for sure.
Gallo will be coming along for the ride and at the very least could be a key bench bat for the Dodgers, especially against right-handed pitching.
The Dodgers will await the winner of the series between the San Diego Padres and the New York Mets which starts on Friday and will go through Sunday.
The NLDS will start next Tuesday.
