The Los Angeles Dodgers have now won eight games in a row.

A four-game sweep over their arch rivals, the San Francisco Giants, helped them pad their lead in the National League West division to 11.5 games over the San Diego Padres and 16.5 over San Francisco.

The Dodgers continue to dominate the rest of the National League, as they remain at the top with the best record at 64-30.

With their win yesterday, they made a little bit of history.

Dodger Insider tweeted that this four-game sweep over the Giants was the first at Dodger Stadium since June 22-25 of 1995.

Dodgers Make History

A lot of baseball has happened since then.

But one thing remains constant.

The Dodgers are still very much a powerhouse, and they took it straight to the Giants this weekend.

It’s hard to believe that it’s been since 1995 that something like this happened.

It’s also interesting to see it happen, given that the Giants were the ones that won the division last year, and not the Dodgers.

The gap in the NL West between these two teams is quite significant.

Considering how close they were last year, it’s pretty crazy to see the Dodgers this far ahead of the Giants.

But it ultimately shows who the better team has been this season.

The Dodgers knocked the Giants out in the NLDS last year and have not looked back.

They completely dominated them over the weekend and remain a thorn in their side.

With the trade deadline approaching, it’s going to be interesting to see what these teams do as the dog days of August loom.

Right now, the NL West is the Dodgers’ division for the taking.
