With the 2022 World Series wrapped up, we now prepare for the offseason, predicting where free agents will end up, what trades will be made, and how teams will address their needs.
Before that happens though, it’s time to take a look at the early World Series odds for 2023 courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook.
As expected, the odds are quite kind to the defending World Series champion Houston Astros.
The Los Angeles Dodgers are another team with some pretty good odds early on.
Of course, the Dodgers appear to have the best odds so far.
After winning 111 games, a franchise record, Los Angeles’ odds for the 2023 World Series sit at +500.

Dodgers Lead 2023 World Series Odds
These are some pretty strong odds.
Granted, the Dodgers themselves have become a powerhouse in the National League.
Since 2017, they have reached the World Series three times, winning it all in 2020.
They won back-to-back pennants in 2017 and 2018, falling short against the Astros and the Boston Red Sox.
They ran away with the NL West title this season, their ninth in the last 10 years, finishing 22 games ahead of the San Diego Padres, who ultimately eliminated them in the NLDS.
The Astros have the second-best odds on the list at +600.
The Atlanta Braves, New York Yankees, and New York Mets round out the top five at +800, +900, and +1000, respectively.
At the bottom of the list are the Oakland Athletics, the Pittsburgh Pirates, and the Washington Nationals, each of whom sit at +15000 odds to win the World Series.
As of now, the Dodgers are at the top, but offseason activity will determine where those odds sit when Opening Day rolls around.
