Now that the 2022 MLB season has come to an end, it’s time to focus on what the offseason could bring for each team.
The Los Angeles Dodgers, winners of 111 regular season games before their shocking NLDS exit, have some tough decisions to make when concerning their list of free agents.
Several key players are set to enter free agency, including Trea Turner, Tyler Anderson, and Clayton Kershaw, while other players such as Justin Turner have club options for 2023.
Free agency begins on Thursday night, and the Dodgers don’t have long to decide whether or not to extend qualifying offers to their free agents and exercise club options for players such as Turner.
Dodgers will need to make option decisions (Justin Turner, Danny Duffy, Hanser Alberto, Jimmy Nelson) and qualifying offer decisions (Trea Turner, Tyler Anderson, Clayton Kershaw) by that time, as well. https://t.co/vAqXFZuQxW

Dodgers Face Tough Decisions
These are going to be some big decisions for the Dodgers.
While they still have Freddie Freeman, Mookie Betts, Tony Gonsolin, Julio Urias, Max Muncy, and Chris Taylor under contract, they may be losing some key players from their 2022 team.
Trea Turner is expected to sign elsewhere, which puts the Dodgers potentially in the market for a shortstop.
Justin Turner, on the other hand, has been a fixture in a Dodgers uniform since his arrival in 2014 and was recently announced as the Roberto Clemente Award Winner during the World Series.
If the Dodgers don’t pick up his option, then it’s very possible that a fan favorite may have played his last game in a Dodgers uniform.
The same can be said for Kershaw, a three-time Cy Young and a former MVP.
These decisions will need to be made by Thursday.
