Late on Wednesday, the Los Angeles Dodgers brought back an old friend when they acquired veteran shortstop Miguel Rojas from the Miami Marlins.
In exchange, the Dodgers sent infielder Jacob Amaya back to Miami.
Rojas, 33, made his MLB debut with the Dodgers back in 2014, appearing in 85 games during the regular season.
The slick-fielding shortstop was dealt to Miami at the end of the season along with Dee-Strange Gordon and Dan Haren in exchange for Andrew Heaney, Chris Hatcher, Austin Barnes, and Enrique Hernandez.
The two sides had been discussing a deal on Wednesday before it finally became official.

With the return of Rojas, the Dodgers receive a talented shortstop to help shore up the position following the departure of Trea Turner.
The team has a few shortstop options on the table, with Gavin Lux being another candidate.
Over the course of his career, Rojas owns a .260 batting average with 39 home runs and 269 RBI.
His stats were underwhelming in 2022 with the Marlins, as he hit just .236 with six homers and 36 RBI.
The 33-year-old’s best season in Miami was 2018.
That year, the veteran shortstop hit .252 and popped 11 home runs, driving in 53 runs in the process.
Despite 2022 being a down season, the Dodgers also have added somebody with a little pop in his bat.
Los Angeles won a franchise record 111 games during the 2022 regular season.
Ultimately, the team fell short in the NLDS against the upstart San Diego Padres.
