Speed is of the essence in the NFL.
That’s why scouts and team executives pay much attention to prospects who have quick 40-yard dash times at the Scouting Combine.
They give these players higher grades and are likely to draft them if the need arises.
After all, the slightest advantage could be the difference between winning and losing in a mad scramble.
Faster players can also respond quicker to what’s happening on the field.
More often than not, wide receivers or cornerbacks are the fastest players at any given moment.
As wideouts take their strides from the snap, defensive backs should stay with them to prevent a catch.
Projecting their Combine numbers dictate that they could cover the length of the field in about ten seconds or less.
Likewise, their bursts of speed leading to a big reception is an instant highlight reel.
But aside from proving who’s the best overall player, these gazelles would like to know the fastest of them all.
All-Pro wideout Tyreek Hill is arguably the fastest player in the NFL.
While that claim is yet to be confirmed, his plays with the Kansas City Chiefs may rest his case.
Hill will take his speed and play-making ability to the Miami Dolphins.
However, the Seattle Seahawks’ DK Metcalf is challenging him for the throne.

Who Will Win This Thrilling Race?
NFL fans wants to make this race happen because it will gain massive attention.
They don’t have the same body type to begin with, with Metcalf being the more muscular receiver.
But despite that perceived disadvantage, the former Ole Miss standout is confident that he will defeat “Cheetah.”
If Hill has cheetah speed, Metcalf is confident about DK speed.
He does have a point because he often leaves defensive backs behind.
In that case, the league must make this race happen, especially during the Pro Bowl.
