Most of the attention around the Phoenix Suns has been focused on Kevin Durant lately.
That is understandable because the move of Durant to Phoenix was easily the biggest of the season and one of the largest of the last few years.
But that should not completely overshadow the fact that the Suns already had one of the best players in the league on their roster.
Devin Booker has been phenomenal lately.
NBA Muse points out that so far this month, Booker has averaged 38 points, 4.9 rebounds, 6.8 assists, and 4 three-pointers a game.
Because of that, the Suns are on am impressive four-game winning streak.

In many ways, the hard work and great accomplishments of Booker are even more evidence that the Suns were brilliant to land Durant.
Booker has only gotten better with Durant on board, not only improving his point totals but also leading the team in terms of tempo and playmaking too.
He seems comfortable and eager to play hard.
Booker is proving that he could lead the team even without Durant.
That is very good news because he might have to.
Following another injury on Wednesday night, Durant could possibly be out for weeks.
The team was without Durant during Wednesday’s game against the Oklahoma City Thunder but Booker didn’t slow down one bit.
In fact, he scored 44 points, his most since the start of 2023.
Fans of the Suns are surely unhappy to hear that they might be losing Durant after just getting started with the team.
But they should breathe easy knowing that Booker is obviously ready to lead.
