After a long and successful career in the NFL which began in 2008, with the Philadelphia Eagles selecting him at No. 59 overall out of the University of California, speedy wide receiver DeSean Jackson knows his playing days are likely coming to an end.
Jackson is currently a free agent after bouncing around the league the last two years with stints with the Las Vegas Raiders, Los Angeles Rams, and the Baltimore Ravens.
At 36 years old and clearly on the downside of his career, Jackson’s phone isn’t exactly blowing up, but if he had to choose between the Ravens, who he most recently played for, and the Eagles, he’d be headed to Philadelphia via Philly Nation.

At this point in time, there’s no telling whether Jackson will get another job in the NFL, as it might be only a matter of time before he gets tired of bouncing around the league with no long-term security and calls it a career.
However, injuries are a frequent occurrence in the league, and players like Jackson, if they stay healthy, fit and ready, can get another chance to shine on the big stage of the NFL.
The Ravens and Eagles are expected to be Super Bowl title contenders during the 2023 NFL season, with Baltimore having Lamar Jackson back in the fold on a new lucrative contract along with Odell Beckham Jr. and the defending NFC champions looking to take another step forward with superstar quarterback Jalen Hurts under center and also recently signed to a new deal.
