With all the excitement surrounding the eventual release of MLB The Show 23, more news about the classic MLB video game came out this morning.
The game will also feature a Collector’s Edition, one that will release on the same day as the standard version.
Jazz Chisholm Jr. is the cover athlete for the Standard Edition.
But a certain Hall of Fame shortstop is on the cover for the Collector’s Edition.
New York Yankees legend Derek Jeter appears on the cover of the Collector’s Edition.
On Twitter, MLB posted a photo featuring Jeter holding a copy of the game that features him on the cover.
Yup, he's still got it.

Like the standard version, the Collector’s Edition will be released on Tuesday, March 28.
However, if pre-ordered, fans can have early access on Friday, March 24.
There will likely be more interesting features for the Collector’s Edition that the Standard Edition may not have.
Since 2019, the game has featured a selection of MLB legends, or younger versions of current MLB stars in the free agent pool when on the rosters feature.
With Jeter on the cover for this edition of the game, he is likely to be one of the players on that list.
In the past, players such as Todd Helton, Albert Pujols, Madison Bumgarner, Yadier Molina, and Cole Hamels have appeared in the game and have had legends versions of themselves in the free agent pool.
But there will be more cool features than just legends versions of players, and this should be yet another fun year for fans to enjoy MLB The Show.
