Jeter began with a powerful statement, saying that it’s impossible to move forward into the future unless you know what took place in the past.
That is where the Negro Leagues come into play.
The Negro Leagues have been added to this year’s version of the video game.
Jeter pointed out that some children today may have never even heard of the Negro Leagues, and says that adding them to the video game is a great way to educate young fans about the sacrifices many of these players had to make in order to play the game they loved.
And it can also educate young fans in a way that is fun and interesting.
Jeter then talked about the stories he heard from his father, who is African-American, when he was a child.
He recalled learning about Jackie Robinson and discussed how there is no better representation for African-American players than Robinson himself.
