The Houston Texans might still be in rebuilding mode for the 2023 season, but it appears that they have a great leader in place to do so.
DeMeco Ryans was recently hired as their newest coach, and although he has been in the building for less than a week, it appears that he will be a great fit for the organization.
Thus far, he has shown incredible patience and poise, especially in consideration of hiring other members of his staff.
"It's not about how fast we make the hire, it's about it being the right hire. We've spoken to a few great candidates already. I'm excited to make that right hire." — new @HoustonTexans HC Demeco Ryans on the OC position in Houston

Ryans wants to make a great first impression in Houston.
He has made it clear, that, it doesn’t necessarily matter how long it takes to get a new offensive coordinator, as long as they land the right person.
In 2022, the Texans’ offense averaged just 17 points per game, which was tied for the second-lowest in the league.
With any luck, the combination of Ryans and a new OC will be able to change the Texans’ offensive scheme.
Currently, their quarterback is Davis Mills, a former third-round pick who hasn’t inspired confidence from the organization.
If the rumor mill is correct, the Texans will be going after a quarterback in this year’s draft, who will be a huge part of their rebuild.
The Texans haven’t made the playoffs since Deshaun Watson left the team, and they have never made it to the Super Bowl.
Although a Super Bowl might not be attainable in the next two years, the organization believes that Ryans is the person to lead them to future success.
Which OC will join Ryans in this hunt for greatness?
