The Philadelphia 76ers are experiencing a lot of problems right now against the Miami Heat.
Currently, the team is down 2-0 against the Heat in the second round of the playoffs.
Digging yourself out of a hole like that is nearly impossible but it can only happen if everyone on the team is working as one cohesive unit.
Unfortunately, that isn’t happening right now.
In fact, some of their players are performing horribly.
The Sixers have been outscored by 54.2 points per 100 possessions when DeAndre Jordan is on the court.

Take DeAndre Jordan for example.
Right now, the 76ers’ big man has an offensive rating of 95 and a defensive rating of 149.2 – those are both pretty dreadful numbers.
To make matters even worse, the Sixers are being outscored by 54.2 points per 100 possessions when Jordan is on the floor.
As StatMuse put it, Jordan really is the Heat’s best player right now.
Stepping Up?
Jordan has only been with the 76ers for a few months.
When he was sent to Philadelphia, many fans thought it could be a match made in heaven.
While Jordan has been delivering diminishing results over the last few years, there was reason to believe he could turn it around with the 76ers.
That’s because he would now be under the leadership of head coach Doc Rivers.
Rivers and Jordan worked together on the Los Angeles Clippers a few years ago and found a lot of success.
Rivers understood what Jordan could and couldn’t do and used him appropriately.
That doesn’t seem to be the case in Philadelphia.
In these playoffs, Jordan has only averaged 3.3 points, 2.3 rebounds, and .3 assists.
This has all happened as he’s had to step up to fill the enormous void left by Joel Embiid‘s absence.
Jordan was supposed to keep the team afloat while Embiid was away.
Simply put, that just hasn’t been the case.
