The Los Angeles Dodgers are one of the premier organizations in MLB.
They do almost everything right: they develop their prospects nicely, their scouting department is top-notch, and their player development staff is one of the best in the league.
They draft well, they trade well, and they create their own stars.
Oh, and when they need a difference-maker, they go to the market and bring in an elite free agent.
They are truly a powerhouse.
In their division, the NL West, the San Diego Padres and the San Francisco Giants are also competitive.
With a 45-27 record, the Dodgers are the leaders as of Tuesday afternoon, closely followed by the Padres (1.5 games behind) and Giants (six games back).
Both the Arizona Diamondbacks and Colorado Rockies have losing records and are far from the top spot.
Dodgers manager Dave Roberts believes the NL West is the top division in the league, with three very solid teams contending and two rebuilding franchises with the intention of returning to relevancy in the next year or two.
“Dave Roberts believes the NL West is the best division in baseball. Do you agree?”

Which One Is The Best Division In Baseball?
Judging from those remarks, Roberts acknowledges the AL East as the other contender for MLB’s best division.
However, he is convinced that his Dodgers play in the toughest one.
There is certainly an argument to be made that Roberts is right, but the AL East has been on a different level in 2022.
It has the best team in baseball, the 54-20 New York Yankees, and three additional teams well-above .500 and fighting for a playoff spot: the 42-32 Boston Red Sox, the 41-32 Toronto Blue Jays, and the 40-32 Tampa Bay Rays.
Even the 35-40 Baltimore Orioles have been much improved, certainly better than the D-Backs and Rockies.
So, while Roberts isn’t saying anything crazy, evidence suggests the AL East may be the stronger division in 2022.
