Darius Garland of the Cleveland Cavaliers is having an All-Star season no matter what – but he really does deserve to be an official All-Star.

There is very little time before the NBA All-Star reserves are announced and all Cleveland fans are hoping that Garland makes the cut.

While he missed the cut-off to be an All-Star starter, he has a chance to still be a part of the games.

And he should because if anyone’s been having an All-Star season, it’s Garland.

What makes this young guy so special and why should he be representing the Cavaliers in just a few weeks at the All-Star Game?

Garland Going Wild

So far this season, he has an average of 19.8 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 8.2 assists a game.

In just about every measurable way, Garland has stepped it up a notch this season and is showing his true potential and talent.

The Cavaliers have been one of the surprise breakout teams of the year.

They are currently in fourth place in the East with a stellar record of 31-20.

No one thought the team would be this good this year and a large part of that is due to Garland.

One of the things that’s so special about Garland is that he’s a very capable and versatile point guard who is able to do a whole lot.

He’s a fast player, which allows him to create some tricky three-pointers or deep-twos.

But he’s more than that: he is known to slide past defenders and move into the paint to put up a sick floater or lay-up.

At the same time, if Garland is attracting too much attention and can’t find a way to create a point, he’s more than able to find another Cav to pass to, hence his incredible 8.2 assists a game.

As you can see, Garland is a threat to other teams in so many ways – and an asset to the Cavs as well.

Only Getting Better

Right now, Garland is easily one of the best players on the team.

He’s also one of the most fun ones to watch.

Between him and Evan Mobley, the Cavs haven’t just become terrific – they’ve become a blast to witness.

But there is a strong feeling that Garland’s best days are ahead of him.

Rajon Rondo on Darius Garland:

“Right now, I think he is the best closer in the game, and I played with a lot of talented players.”

Wow. 🤯

He moves like Ja Morant, passes like Chris Paul, and can take shots and move under the basket like LeBron James or Luka Doncic.

Right now, it really feels like the sky is the limit for Garland.

He should be one of the most celebrated players in the entire league and one of the ways that can happen is to vote him into the All-Star Game.

There is no doubt that if Garland keeps playing as he has been, he’ll be an All-Star starter within just a few years.

Some even thought he should have been one this time.

But the NBA is making a huge mistake if they keep sleeping on Garland.

As all his opponents have learned, there is something really special about this Cavs star.
