Monday night marked the first contest between the Atlanta Braves and the Los Angeles Dodgers of 2022.
Two stars who had previously been with one side got their first chance to face off against their old squad.
Freddie Freeman and Kenley Jansen have switched places, with Jansen leaving the Dodgers for Atlanta and Freeman leaving Atlanta and bolting for Los Angeles.
But there was no animosity whatsoever between the two squads who have met in the NLCS the past two years.
In fact, Freeman’s son Charlie spotted one of his dad’s old teammates, shortstop Dansby Swanson.
Charlie wasted no time and ran straight towards his old friend, who picked him up and give him a big hug.

Reunion Between Two Pals
Swanson gave us all a nice heartfelt moment on Monday.
It’s moments like these that are bigger than baseball and the constant competition.
But it’s clear that Charlie missed Swanson and was so happy to see him again, and the feeling was certainly mutual.
It was a nice touching reunion between a little kid and one of his dad’s former teammates.
No love has been lost as a result of Freeman signing with the Dodgers.
Freeman and his family clearly still hold the Braves organization in high regard.
But it’s great to see such a nice moment between Swanson and Freeman’s son.
These two were definitely good buddies during Freeman’s time in Atlanta.
Charlie made a lot of great friends over in Atlanta that he’ll cherish for the rest of his life and will enjoy every moment he gets to share with them in the future.
Let’s hope these two share more moments like this down the road.
