The Dallas Cowboys are in a tough spot with Dak Prescott right now.
Prescott has struggled in the playoffs when it matters the most, with many analysts questioning if he can take the Cowboys to the Super Bowl.
With that in mind, former NFL quarterback Dan Orlovsky took a look at Prescott’s performances in the postseason.
And while the numbers as a whole aren’t exactly bad, he believes the Cowboys are paying him to be more than good.
Moreover, he points out the fact that most of his interceptions in the postseason have come in the redzone, either his or his rival’s teams, and that’s obviously a major issue.
Orlovsky then predicted that if Prescott has another interception-riddled campaign or doesn’t perform up to the level they expect him to, the Cowboys could look to move on from him.
He also claimed that he thinks they’re going to extend him because they don’t have another choice, adding that they’d get worse at the position if they let him go.
Then again, he claims it’s hard to make a case for him if he drops the ball again next season, and he might be right on point.
It’s been a long time since the Cowboys were a Super Bowl contender, and the only reason why pundits have questioned them is because of their quarterback situation.
That’s something they’ll need to address sooner rather than later, whether it’s in the NFL Draft or trying to lure someone in free agency.
