It’s been a while since we last saw the Green Bay Packers start off the season without Aaron Rodgers as their starting quarterback.
It’s officially the beginning of a new era at Lambeau Field, and not many fans are exactly encouraged by that.
Jordan Love wasn’t very impressive in limited snaps earlier in his career, and some believe the Packers will no longer be contenders in the NFC North division.
However, that’s not the case with NFL insider Dan Orlovsky, who recently claimed that the Packers should be a playoff contender even with an average Jordan Love, citing that they would definitely make the playoffs if he plays like a first-round pick should play.
"If Jordan Love is average, this team is playing for a playoff spot in December. … If he's anything like a first-round pick should be, this is a playoff team."

Notably, multiple players and staff members from the Packers have raved about Love’s improvement in the offseason, praising his work ethic and leadership and stating that he’s most definitely ready to take over as their new quarterback.
He was a controversial pick not only because of the fact that they already had Rodgers on their roster, but also because not many people thought he would’ve gone in the first round.
Still, it’s safe to say the Packers have had plenty of success finding franchise quarterbacks throughout the course of the years.
And while it’s highly unlikely that they’ll get a third consecutive first-ballot Hall-of-Famer to start at the position for them, people were also quite skeptical of Rodgers when he first took the reins from Brett Favre, and we already know how that turned out.
