A couple of seasons ago, the Los Angeles Chargers made some big moves to bolster the defense to try and give Justin Herbert a hand.
This offseason, they brought in former Dallas Cowboys OC Kellen Moore to bring more balance to the offense.
However, it’s been two weeks, and it doesn’t seem like they’ve changed a lot, even though they did run the football more often in the season opener.
That’s why former NFL QB Dan Orlovsky called out Moore on Twitter for the fact that the offense looks pretty much the same.
The chargers brought in a new OC (who I’m a huge fan of) but the offense
Looks the same?!?!?!?

Orlovsky did admit that he’s a fan of Moore, so it’s not that he was just taking shots at him.
Truth be told, it’s hard to blame the offense when the defense can’t seem to get a stop.
Also, HC Brandon Staley deserves a lot of credit for leading their injury-plagued team to the playoffs last season, but his decision-making and situational football skills continue to raise some doubts.
The Chargers can’t seem to win games they were supposed to win, especially in one-score situations.
Even a struggling offense like the Titans’ were able to come from behind and snatch a win despite the Chargers being favored by 3.5 points entering the game.
The Chargers are now 0-2 and, despite all their talent, they don’t seem like a reliable team you could trust to get the job done, especially against contenders.
And while Moore needs more time and deserves the benefit of the doubt, they look like the Chargers of old all over again.
