The Detroit Lions are for real.
That was already more than evident in the season’s first two months, but their primetime win over the Houston Texans clarified it.
They overcame plenty of adversity, starting with five interceptions, to secure a huge comeback win over another postseason contender, and they did it on the road, no less.
That’s why, following the win, coach Dan Campbell was pumped and had a big smile.

As shown by the team on social media, the coach praised his players for their resiliency and for doing what great teams do, which is finding a way to get the job done, even when things aren’t going their way.
It might sound cliché, but it’s just a fact.
Good teams win when things are easy, but great teams get things done even when it’s not pretty.
The Lions didn’t allow a single point in the second half to storm right back with a 26-23 result.
Jared Goff, who had four interceptions before this game, threw five picks in this contest alone.
That was an outlier, but the coach and his staff didn’t turn their backs on him.
They kept calling passing plays, didn’t bench him, and trusted him to make timely throws when it mattered the most.
All things considered, this might be the most impressive win of the Dan Campbell era, and that’s a lot to say.
