The Portland Trail Blazers easily took down the Los Angeles Lakers on Monday night, 127-115, and Damian Lillard was again all over the victory.
He racked up 40 points, scoring 8-of-14 from the three-point line and scoring a 56.5% field goal percentage.

Scoring 40 points sometimes looks easy for Lillard, who has done it 11 times so far this season.
After Monday night’s showing, Lillard is now tied with Giannis Antetokounmpo of the Milwaukee Bucks and Luka Doncic of the Dallas Mavericks for the most 40-point games this season.
That’s incredibly impressive but even more so because Lillard is a bit older than both of those stars.
Lillard is 32 years old and has been in the league for 10 years while Antetokounmpo is 28 and Doncic is just 23.
Lillard is getting older but he’s not getting worse.
In fact, he is having one of the best seasons of his career so far, with an average of 31.2 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 7.3 assists on a strong 46.7% from the field.
Lillard is still the best player on his team – and they need all the help they can get.
The Blazers are 11th in the West and struggling to inch up higher as the postseason approaches.
Lillard is getting help from a few other young talents on his team but they are not looking like true playoff contenders yet.
Some people are comparing Lillard’s season to that of LeBron James: sensational and inspiring yet frustrating because the team is still in bad shape.
Lillard has never given up on his team, even at the worst of times.
That means you can expect to see more games like this from him even if the Blazers remain in the bottom half of the Western Conference.
