There are many words you can use to describe Damian Lillard of the Portland Trail Blazers and “loyal” is certainly one of them.
Lillard has only played for one team since joining the NBA back in 2012, remaining with them through thick and thin.
Even though practically every other team in the league would leap at the chance to add Lillard, he has stuck it out with the Blazers.
That team is once again toward the bottom of the Western Conference standings, currently in 12th place.
Because of this, the popular Twitter account NBA Memes noted that the loyalty of Lillard and Washington Wizards star Bradley Beal hasn’t won them “anything.”
Y’all gettin carried away with the loyalty thing because mfs don’t bounce to y’all drum. And what I’ve done has won me plenty. 🙏🏽… https://t.co/omocSRnEgn

Lillard wasn’t having any of that and shot back at them on Twitter.
“Y’all gettin carried away with the loyalty thing because mfs don’t bounce to y’all drum. And what I’ve done has won me plenty,” Lillard said on Wednesday night.
This is just what Portland fans wanted to hear from Lillard.
For years, they have lived in fear that Lillard would eventually grow tired of losing and would take his talents elsewhere.
Numerous reports from inside the team have said that Lillard has indeed been frustrated but has yet to demand a trade.
Will he ever give up on the Trail Blazers?
That seems unlikely based on this latest statement from him.
Still, he obviously wants to win and would love for the front office to do whatever it takes to make that happen.
Lillard has long been the best player on a struggling team but he isn’t giving up.
The one thing he hates as much as losing is people critiquing his loyalty.
