The Dallas Cowboys improved to 5-2 on Sunday with a win over the Detroit Lions.
But, other than winning the game, the Cowboys won by getting Dak Prescott back on the field.
In his first game since Week 1, Prescott threw for 207 yards and one touchdown.
He also completed 76% of his passes.
While he did not light up the box score as we have seen in the past, Prescott was efficient and showed no ill effects of his injured thumb.
Dallas won the game 24-6 and this team has a chance to be very good this season.

Dak Is Back
This first game back was a great chance for Prescott to knock off the rust.
And he should continue to get better and better as the season goes on.
The Cowboys defense is one of the best in the NFL, so getting Prescott back gives Dallas one of the best teams in the NFL.
With so many teams struggling to start the year (Packers, Buccaneers, Rams) the Cowboys have a good chance to compete for an NFC title.
The NFC East is loaded this season.
The Cowboys, Eagles, and Giants are a combined 17-3 and do not look to be slowing down.
It will be interesting to see what the Cowboys do with the trade deadline upcoming.
They could use another wide receiver or defensive lineman that could help take this team over the top.
The return of QB1 gives the Cowboys plenty of optimism about what they can do this season.
Prescott and the Cowboys are set to take on the Bears in Week 8 with a chance to get to 6-2 before the bye week.
