They added Dansby Swanson, Trey Mancini, Jameson Taillon, and Cody Bellinger in free agency and now look prepared to take another step this season.
These moves have Cubs fans and analysts alike excited for the upcoming season.
In fact, some are expecting that this team could potentially challenge the St. Louis Cardinals and Milwaukee Brewers.

The team last reached the postseason in 2020, winning the NL Central but losing in the first round to the Miami Marlins.

St. Louis and Milwaukee were both relatively quiet this winter.
