All eyes are on Derek Carr and the Las Vegas Raiders for the 2022 NFL season.
Is it because they have the best quarterback in the league?
Will it be because their quarterback is a MVP candidate for 2022?
It most likely won’t be because of those reasons that fans and critics will watch Carr.
Those eyes are on him because star receiver Davante Adams came to Las Vegas to play with Carr.
However, he isn’t as good as the quarterback Adams played with back in Green Bay.
The quarterback from Green Bay who Adams caught passes from is none other than Aaron Rodgers.
Rodgers is a four-time MVP winner, meaning he’s better than Carr, who has never won an MVP title.
However, does an MVP title make Rodgers better than his Las Vegas counterpart?
Adams Could Be The Key To Making Carr Better
While Carr isn’t as good as Rodgers currently is, Adams could change that for him.
The two players were teammates at Fresno State, and they both broke records while there.

With the two players back together again, it could mean an improvement is in the future of the Raiders veteran quarterback.
Adams was the biggest part of Rodgers’ back-to-back MVP reigns in the NFL.
With him around, the four-time MVP quarterback posted some of his best numbers of his career.
His star receiver helped account for a sizeable chunk of his production in 2020 and 2021.
Adams helped Rodgers by accounting for around one-third of his passing stats.
With a player accounting for that much production, it’s easy to see him doing the same in Las Vegas.
However, will him coming to Las Vegas help their quarterback unlock that next level of performance?
Adams Being In Las Vegas Puts Pressure On Carr To Perform
Raiders fans have long demanded Carr to come through for the team.
My rule for Derek Carr was very simple this year. Get us to the playoffs. He simply can't perform under our system . He is a great person and a great talent, and he's a good quarterback just not our quarterback for our system. Gruden needs an improviser with moxie. Just the facts pic.twitter.com/xOZK386VKN

However, this season puts the most pressure on him with an elite receiver on their roster.
But that pressure could help turn him into a diamond this NFL season.
Both he and his star receiver have chemistry on the field.
If they show the chemistry is still there, the AFC West could see a new champion with the Raiders.
However, it’s up to Carr to show the NFL world how good, or bad, he really is.
Is 2022 The Season Carr Turns Into A Diamond With Adams By His Side?
During the NFL preseason, we could see a flash of Carr to Adams passes.
It will also show if that pressure on Carr turns him into the diamond their fan base desires.
Adams is the biggest factor in the success of the veteran quarterback.
However, the Raiders also have Hunter Renfrow and Josh Jacobs.
These offensive weapons will help complement their newest star on the team.
So as long as their defense can hold up in games, Carr has all the weapons to have his best season ever.
While he isn’t as good as Rodgers now, he now has all the tools to improve and challenge him for that MVP title.
