The NFC South will be the worst division in the National Football League, and it won’t even be close at all.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers only have Kyle Trask under contract after Tom Brady’s departure, while the Carolina Panthers also need to find a new QB.
The New Orleans Saints have a solid defense, but there are serious questions about their Head Coaching situation, as well as — again — several doubts about their QB position.
But even so, perhaps none of those teams has it worse than the Atlanta Falcons.
The Falcons will likely give second-year QB Desmond Ridder another chance to prove his worth, but he doesn’t seem like an NFL-caliber starter at this point.
That’s why veteran RB Cordarelle Patterson is doing his best to try and lure some free agents to the team, taking to Twitter to recruit both Keenan Allen and Daron Payne.

Payne is expected to be one of the most sought-after defensive players in free agency, while Allen might be cut to free some cap space for the Chargers.
The Falcons sure have more than enough cap space to work their way around this deal, but they’re far from an attractive destination right now.
They completely misused one of the most promising players in the league like Kyle Pitts last season, and they’d still be multiple pieces away from being a legit threat, even in the weakest division in football.
So, good luck with all that recruiting, Patterson, as you’re definitely going to need it.
