2022 has been the season of rookies in Major League Baseball.
We’ve seen guys like Steven Kwan, Adley Rutschman, Julio Rodriguez, and Spencer Strider make their mark on the game of baseball this year, and we might just have another player to add to that list.
Corbin Carroll recently made his MLB debut with the Arizona Diamondbacks after being called up late on Sunday.
He picked up his first career hit on Monday night against the Philadelphia Phillies, keying a major comeback.
Last night, he showed off some of his power.
No, it wasn’t a home run.
He just missed that.
But it was still impressive as he collected a 439-foot two-run double to help the D’Backs add to their commanding lead over the Phils.

Carroll Comes Through
We might just have another exciting young prospect who is ready to burst onto the scene.
Carroll has played in just two games this season, but he already looks like he’s been here for quite some time.
You wouldn’t know that he’s just 22 based on what he’s done over the past two games.
He was super close right there to hitting his first career home run.
A two-run double will do just fine for now, but if he keeps hitting baseballs that far, he’ll have his first career home run in no time.
The No. 3 prospect in all of baseball appears to be settling in just fine at the Major League level.
The 22-year-old outfielder is already hitting .300.
He might be here to stay.
He sure looks like he’s here to stay for now.
He’s going to be a fun player to watch in the near future as the D’Backs continue their youth movement.
