Arizona Diamondbacks top prospect Corbin Carroll was called up to the big leagues late on Sunday.
The 22-year-old outfielder made his Major League debut on Monday night against the Philadelphia Phillies.
Not only did he pick up his first big-league hit, but he helped spark a comeback from down 7-0 as the Diamondbacks stunned the Phils.
The final score was 13-7 in favor of the Diamondbacks, and it ended up being the biggest comeback in team history.
Carroll’s mother was in attendance for her son’s MLB debut, and after the game, Carroll went to see her and presented her with a lovely gift: his game-worn jersey.

Proud Mama
It’s always important to show your mom some love.
But Carroll went above and beyond and gave his mom a piece of history.
He picked up his first career hit and helped fuel a big comeback against one of the hottest teams in all of baseball.
This is a nice way for Carroll to show his appreciation for his mom, who has supported him and his dream since day one and finally gets a little reward for it.
It’s a moment that neither she nor her son will ever forget.
Parents always play key roles in helping their children achieve their dreams, and it’s no secret that Carroll’s mother played a big role in him getting to where he is now.
But instead of being consumed by the moment, Carroll decided to show some appreciation for her and give her a very important gift that she will always cherish for the rest of her life.
Hopefully, she’ll enjoy this gift and feel pride in the fact that her son is now a Major Leaguer.
