It would be difficult for the Indianapolis Colts to forget their collapse last season.

With two games left in their schedule, they only needed to win one to secure a postseason berth.

Unfortunately, they lost both games, including their season-ender against the lowly Jacksonville Jaguars.

That ending prompted them to make major changes in the 2022 offseason.

They brought in Matt Ryan and traded Carson Wentz to the Washington Commanders.

Likewise, they signed Brandon Facyson and Stephon Gilmore to improve their pass defense.

But the Colts are not yet done improving their roster and they are keen on adding another weapon on offense.

Former #Browns WR Antonio Callaway will be at #Colts minicamp, source said, on a tryout basis. The 2018 fourth round pick recently spent time with the #Dolphins and #Chiefs.

NFL Network national insider Ian Rapoport tweeted, “Former #Browns WR Antonio Callaway will be at #Colts minicamp, source said, on a tryout basis. The 2018 fourth round pick recently spent time with the #Dolphins and #Chiefs.”

The wideout from Florida spent two seasons with the Browns before joining the XFL’s Tampa Bay Vipers.

He then played for the Miami Dolphins before making it to the Kansas City Chiefs’ offseason squad.

Callaway has 695 receiving yards and five touchdowns throughout his NFL career.

The Colts are hoping that he can improve their receiving corps that has Michael Pittman Jr. as their top option.

Will Callaway Make The Final Roster?

As Rapoport said, nothing is guaranteed for him because he will be at minicamp on a tryout basis.

Therefore, he will have to prove his worth to make the 53-man roster.

However, it will be an uphill battle for him because of other wide receivers like Alec Pierce, Parris Campbell, and Keke Coutee.

Making the team would be a long shot, but the Colts wouldn’t bring him in if he didn’t have anything to offer.
